ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts in a 34-bed Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Every 4th weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float between St. Luke's and Marion freestanding Emergency Department locations
• Care for a mixed patient population including patients requiring drips and titrations
• Scrub colors: Black, Navy Blue, Caribbean Blue (solids only)
• 24 months of Emergency Department experience required
• Must have completed a travel contract within the previous 18 months
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale
• De-escalation certification (CPI, MAB, MOAB, or SAMA) highly preferred and must be obtained during onboarding if not currently certified
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Skills checklist specific to Emergency Room/Emergency Department required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
• Required to work 1-2 of the upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
• All candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
