OR Nurse Job in Albany, NY

Albany Medical Center seeks an experienced RN for a travel position in the Operating Room. This 91-day assignment begins November 16, 2026, and offers the stability of a dedicated surgical team while you maintain the flexibility of travel nursing.

Position Overview

You will work as a perioperative RN, providing direct patient care in the OR across multiple surgical specialties. Your role includes pre-operative assessment, intraoperative support, and post-operative handoff, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical technicians.

What You'll Do

• Support complex surgical procedures in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular specialties
• Manage patient safety, instrument accountability, and OR supplies
• Demonstrate competency across multiple surgical specialties
• Respond to on-call requirements as scheduled
• Provide perioperative nursing care from pre-op through recovery

What You Bring

• Current RN license valid in New York
• Proven experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgical procedures
• Demonstrated competency managing complex surgical cases
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt to multiple surgical specialties
