Operating Room RN Job in Watertown, NY

Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Operating Room. This is a 13-week travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026, offering you the opportunity to provide direct perioperative patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Role & Schedule

• Work 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 5 days per week
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• Call shifts required with 30-minute response time

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual dimensions
• Maintain thorough knowledge of nursing principles and deliver quality patient care
• Recognize and address safety issues; assess and implement safe patient lifting techniques
• Demonstrate lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Apply knowledge of clinical equipment and instrumentation to maintain aseptic OR/ASU environments
• Function effectively under stress with strong problem-solving abilities
• Provide leadership with ability to prioritize and delegate
• May assume charge nurse duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership experience

Compensation & Logistics

• Weekly pay: $2,846
• Must adhere to 100-mile radius rule
