Albany Medical Center is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 91-day travel assignment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment while gaining exposure across multiple specialized procedures.

• Start Date: October 25, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,861.60

About the Role:

You will provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, supporting complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, preparation, intraoperative support, and post-operative care coordination. You will work alongside surgeons, anesthesia teams, and surgical technicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain a safe surgical environment.

Required Experience:

You must have demonstrated competency and strong experience across cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgical procedures. Experience with complex surgical cases and full perioperative care protocols is essential. You will be expected to adapt quickly to the facility's systems, equipment, and surgical protocols while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating room environments and ensure sterile technique compliance
• Assist in positioning patients and maintaining safety during procedures
• Monitor and communicate patient status throughout surgery
• Manage surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment
• Support anesthesia and surgical teams as needed
• Respond to on-call requirements as assigned

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in New York
• Proven experience in operating room nursing
• Competency across multiple surgical specialties
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
