Operating Room RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to work as a circulator in our adult cardiac operating room. You will care for patients undergoing a wide range of cardiac procedures in a Level 4 facility setting.

Position Details

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Assignment duration: 89 weeks
• Start date: October 26, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,947

Clinical Responsibilities

You will independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases, including coronary artery bypass grafts (CABGs), transcatheter aortic valve implantations (TAVIs), structural heart cases, minimally invasive procedures such as mini aortic valve replacements, and heart failure interventions. Patient populations include those requiring ventricular assist devices (VADs), ECMO support, artificial heart placement, and heart transplantation. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Current New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Ability to both scrub and circulate
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications

• Operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma center
• Transplant experience
• TAVI/TAVR experience
• Telemetry experience
