Operating Room RN Job in Albany, NY

Albany Medical Center is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 4x10 hour shifts on days, providing perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties.

About the Role

This position covers a vacant OR nursing role and requires strong clinical competency in complex surgical procedures. You will demonstrate expertise across the following surgical specialties:

• Cardiac procedures
• Neurological surgery
• Thoracic surgery
• Orthopedic procedures
• Vascular surgery

Your responsibilities will include preoperative patient assessment, intraoperative support to the surgical team, and postoperative care coordination. You will manage surgical instruments, monitor patient safety, and ensure smooth communication between OR staff and the broader care team.

Requirements

You must hold a current RN license and demonstrate competency across multiple surgical specialties. Experience with complex perioperative care is essential. Please note that on-call requirements may apply to this position.
