PCU Registered Nurse Job in Wichita Falls, TX

United Regional is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), a 15-bed neuro stepdown unit serving adult and geriatric patients. You will work 3x12-hour day shifts at $2,089 weekly, with a start date of October 19, 2026.

Position Details

• Neuro PCU stepdown unit with night shift patient ratios of 1:4, occasionally 1:5
• 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
• Minimum 18 weekend shifts required over the contract period
• Float responsibilities include divisional overflow and ED holds
• Must work 2–3 holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• CPI certification preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Clinical Focus

You will manage care involving cardiac telemetry, neuro stepdown protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drips, intracranial bleeds, traumatic brain injury, seizure disorders, and cerebrovascular accident (CVA) management. Key skills include thrombolytic agent administration, PICC line and central line management, tracheostomy care, and BiPAP/CPAP/high-flow nasal cannula management.
