PCU Registered Nurse Job in Odessa, TX

Join Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX as a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit. This 91-day travel nursing assignment runs 4x12 hour day shifts, starting October 6, 2026. You'll earn $2,497 per week.

In this role, you will provide high-level nursing care to patients across multiple settings, including Med-Surg/Telemetry, PCU, and critical care areas. Your responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct patient care with evidence-based nursing practices
• Floating between MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care units as census demands
• Managing patient ratios of 6:1 in MS/Tele settings and 2:1 in critical care areas
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Documenting care using the Cerner electronic health record system

Qualifications:

• Current RN license (valid in Texas)
• Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple patient care areas
• Valid travel nursing status (local candidates within 50-mile radius are not eligible for this position)
