PCU Registered Nurse Job in Wichita Falls, TX

United Regional is seeking a Registered Nurse for a progressive care unit float position in Wichita Falls, TX. This is a 91-day travel assignment on a 3x12 nights schedule, with a weekly pay rate of $2,089.

Position Details

• Float role supporting primarily Med Surg and PCU units; must be agreeable to floating
• 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
• 36/48-hour alternating schedule required
• Weekend shifts as needed, which may include most weekends during your contract
• Night shift patient ratio of 1:6
• Caring for adult and geriatric patients

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; travel experience strongly preferred
• Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Essential Skills

You will manage a wide range of clinical competencies including cardiac telemetry, central line care, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, heparin and IV insulin protocols, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, pacemaker management, tracheostomy care, thrombolytic agents, wound care and wound vacs, PICC line management, chest tube management, high-flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation and dysrhythmia management, pre- and post-cardiac cath care, pre- and post-cardiac surgery care, post-MI care, epidural analgesia, continuous bladder irrigation, hemodialysis management, renal failure care, seizure disorder management, traumatic brain injury care, substance withdrawal protocols, CVA management, PCA pumps, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, surgical drains, traction, total joint replacement, TR bands, rapid response and code team participation, isolation precautions, and oxygen administration.
