PCU Registered Nurse Job in Wichita Falls, TX

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a Neuro PCU unit with 15 beds serving adult and geriatric patient populations at United Regional in Wichita Falls, TX. This is a night shift position on a 3x12 schedule with a patient ratio of 1:4, occasionally 1:5.

Assignment Details:

• 91-day contract starting October 19, 2026
• 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
• Weekly pay: $2,089
• Minimum 18 weekend shifts required per contract
• Float required divisionally, overflow, and ED holds
• Must be able to work 2–3 holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission or prior to accepting offer

Experience & Credentials:

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• CPI certification preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Key Clinical Skills:

• Cardiac telemetry and neurological stepdown care
• Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Intracranial bleeds and traumatic brain injury
• Seizure disorders and thrombolytic agents
• PICC line management and central line care
• Tracheostomy care
• Rapid response and code team coordination

Support & Resources:

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy to support patient care delivery.
