PCU Registered Nurse Job in Wichita Falls, TX

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at United Regional in Wichita Falls, Texas. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of September 21, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week
• 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
• Alternating 36/48-hour schedule with possibility of straight 48-hour shifts
• Weekend availability required, which may include most weekends during the contract
• Block scheduling may be accommodated, but set schedules cannot be approved

Role Details

You will float between the PCU and Med Surg units, caring for adult and geriatric patient populations. Night shift patient ratios are 6 patients per nurse. You will manage complex clinical care including cardiac telemetry, central line care, blood product administration, BiPAP and CPAP management, heparin and IV insulin protocols, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, management of dysrhythmias, ABG interpretation, high-flow nasal cannula, pacemaker management, PICC lines, tracheostomy care, wound care and wound vacs, chest tubes, epidural analgesia, PCA management, and pre/post cardiac catheterization and surgery care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Active RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Compensation and Support

Weekly pay is $2,089. Interdisciplinary support is available through physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
