Job Details:

• Work 5 days per week with 8-hour shifts
• Obtain and record initial patient assessments and establish priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
• Develop and implement individualized, measurable plans of care within established nursing standards
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and evaluation of patient outcomes
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Delegate unit work assignments appropriately and coordinate team assignments based on patient and unit needs
• Participate in orientation of new staff and students on the unit
• Exhibit flexibility and adapt readily to changes in the work environment or schedule
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program required
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• BLS Certification from AHA required
• ACLS Certification from AHA required
• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age and type of patient population served required
