ICU RN Job in Chandler, AZ

You will work as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Chandler Regional Medical Center, providing direct patient care on night shift, 3 days per week at 12 hours per shift.

Schedule and Flexibility

• Night shift position with every other weekend rotation, or up to 3 weekends per month depending on unit census
• 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; night shift weekends are Friday through Saturday
• Self-scheduling with manager balancing shifts based on unit needs
• 1 holiday off during the 91-day assignment
• No additional call or standby shifts required
• May experience low census up to 3 times during the contract

Clinical Responsibilities

• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 in the ICU
• Titrate drips including Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Precedex, Morphine, Dilaudid, Ketamine, Rocuronium, Levophed, Vasopressin, Cardene, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, and Insulin
• Interpret your own cardiac monitor strips using GE monitors
• Float to telemetry unit with 1:3 or 1:4 ratios as needed; expected to float between all 3 ICUs
• First to float when unit needs arise

Equipment and Systems

• Respiratory therapy equipment: Draeger, Hamilton, Puritan Bennett 840, V60s BiPAP, and Airvo
• Charting system: Cerner
• Navy scrubs required

Requirements and Onboarding

• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience with either neuro or cardiovascular background; no exceptions
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24 to 48 hours prior to acceptance; maximum of 2 attempts
• Pass/fail Simulation Lab on Day 1 of orientation
• 1 to 2 days of unit and department-specific orientation

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,235. Assignment begins October 12, 2026, for 91 days.
