ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts in an acute care emergency department setting
• Must be willing to float to CDU (Clinical Decision Unit)
• Meditech experience required for electronic charting
• Trauma Level 2 facility
• Collect and analyze patient health data to formulate and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Complete comprehensive patient histories and physical assessments including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, age-specific, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and other clinical disciplines to make care decisions
• Provide and document patient education involving patients, families, and significant others as appropriate
• Document patient care management in a clear and concise manner using Meditech charting system
• Perform hourly rounds on patients and provide bedside shift reports
• Update patient communication boards and apply AIDET and other evidence-based behaviors
• Practice standard precautions and comply with CDC hand hygiene guidelines
• Client may call off or cancel up to one shift per two weeks
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
