Operating Room RN Job in Indianapolis, IN

IU Health Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Operating Room in Indianapolis, IN. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 19, 2026, paying $2,432 weekly.

Schedule & Hours

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Monday through Friday core schedule with call and holiday requirements
• Weekend-only position also available
• 6 call shifts required per 6-week period
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• No block scheduling; float required within hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals

Role Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of operating room experience
• Level I Trauma experience (required)
• Circulate required; scrub preferred
• Must be well-rounded and current in most areas except cardiovascular and transplant
• Core 6 unit experience required with demonstrated competency in at least 3 of 4 areas: Neuro, Ortho, General, Plastic, GYN, ENT, GU, Trauma, and Robotics

Clinical Environment

• Average daily census of 70–80 patients across 21–24 operating rooms
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Key procedural areas: craniotomy, total joint replacement, trauma, colorectal robotic surgery, gynecologic robotic surgery, laparoscopic-assisted procedures, neurological robotic surgery, orthopedic robotic surgery, Whipple procedure, and spinal fusions
• Da Vinci Xi Surgical System in use

Credentials & Systems

• Required: BLS, ACLS (preferred), PALS (preferred)
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
