Med Surg RN Job in Lander, Wyoming

Join SH SageWest Health Care as a Med Surg RN on a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work three 12-hour day shifts each week, providing direct and individualized nursing care to medical and surgical patients based on established nursing principles.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes
• Monitor vital signs and medical information with accuracy and timeliness
• Perform wound care, including dressing changes, catheter insertion, and IV starts
• Operate and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting electronic displays as needed
• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-surgical patients
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care requirements
• Initiate corrective actions in response to adverse patient symptoms
• Report adverse medication or treatment reactions according to nursing policy
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments
• Develop and implement patient education plans as prescribed
• Participate in discharge planning with strong time management
• Respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocol

Required Qualifications:

• Active Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current PALS certification (American Heart Association)

Assignment Details:

Start date: November 16, 2026. Duration: 91 days. Schedule: three 12-hour day shifts per week. Weekly pay: $2,233.80. Location: Lander, Wyoming.
