Telemetry RN Job in Winston Salem, NC

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Rapid Response is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment on the Cardiac Telemetry unit in Winston Salem, NC. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a patient ratio of 1:6 and an average daily census of 23. Weekly pay is $2,117.66.

Role Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers with stepdown experience are welcome
• Current Cardiac Telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS
• EKG testing required prior to start

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cardiac patients with diagnoses including arrhythmias, MI, ACS, uncontrolled diabetes, DKA, heart failure, and post-procedural care (heart catheterization, PPM, ICD)
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Manage cardiac drips (no titrating for blood pressure)
• Perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Collaborate with team members in a unit without charge nurses; teamwork is essential
• Float to other units as needed

Skills and Experience

• IV start, telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Epic charting system experience preferred; PYXIS and SBAR also used

Contract Details

• 8 weekend shifts required per contract
• 3-day orientation: first day Epic training, followed by two days on the unit
• Scrubs: Navy or white
