Job Details:

• Night shift position in the Emergency Room
• 3x12 shift schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:4 for all shifts including days, nights, and weekends
• Every 3rd weekend required - Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday rotation depending on existing schedule
• No on-call required
• 2 years of experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy
• No parking cost
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS/BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Treat a broad range of emergency diagnoses including any patient type with a separate area for psychiatric patients and some pediatric cases
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, and unit secretary
• Department sees approximately 127 patient visits per day across 38 beds
• Key clinical skills required include triage, IV insertion and maintenance, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, emergency medications, blood product administration, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, procedural sedation monitoring, central line care, chest tube management, care of ventilated patients, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
