ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours must be indicated on submission form
• Assignment length of 13-26 weeks must be indicated on submission form
• Block schedule cannot be accommodated
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Patient ratio is 4:1 routinely; surge and other circumstances will alter ratios
• 68-bed Emergency Department unit
• EMR system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Black; jeans and unprofessional attire are not acceptable
• 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility required; must be indicated on resume
• Trauma/pediatrics experience, high acuity experience, and experience in a facility seeing 200+ patients per day preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), TNCC, NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start)
• Current RN license required; must meet criteria to be eligible for licensure in Missouri or be currently licensed in Missouri
• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week of orientation
• RTO must be made up at the end of the assignment and will not be approved in the first week; only 1 holiday RTO request per assignment
