PACU RN Job in Webster, TX

You will work as an RN in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at HCA Houston Clear Lake in Webster, Texas. This is a 13-week travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a 14-bed main PACU unit located on the second floor of the main tower. Your primary responsibility is monitoring and caring for patients as they recover from anesthesia and surgical procedures. Patient ratios typically range from 1:1 to 1:2, allowing you to deliver focused care during this critical recovery period.

Shift and Schedule

You will work 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours long. Available shift times are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM, or 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. An on-call requirement exists once per night every two weeks. You may be asked to float to the Pre-Op area as needed.

Patient Population

You will care for patients recovering from a variety of procedures, including:

• Endoscopy
• Hernia repairs
• Myomectomy and hysterectomy
• Nephrectomy
• Joint repairs and replacements
• Lumbar fusions
• General surgeries

Work Environment

You will work alongside a team of 16 staff members, including charge nurses and staff nurses. The unit uses Meditech EMR for documentation. Dress code requires royal blue scrubs.

Requirements

You must hold current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications. A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills are essential for this position.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,791. This assignment runs for 91 days (13 weeks).
