Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule required
• Holiday rotation participation required
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 22-bed orthopedic/telemetry unit
• 3 CNAs per shift with a ratio of 1:7-8 aide coverage
• Charge nurse available 24/7
• Must have strong orthopedic experience including total joint replacements - fracture experience alone is not sufficient
• Common diagnoses include orthopedic joints, replacements, and fractures
• Telemetry on unit - RNs are not required to read strips
• No drip titration required
• Respiratory therapy equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow) available as needed
• May float to units 7E, 7W, 10W, or 10E
• 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
• Required certification: BLS
