ED RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a registered nurse in a 101-bed Emergency Department at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 16-week travel position with a start date of September 23, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights (6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
• Weekly pay: $2,365.20
• Every other weekend scheduling required; no block scheduling available

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
• Float to all sections within the ED as needed; no floating outside the ED
• Use Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Document in Cerner electronic health record system
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards and maintain respectful behavior
• Keep patient boards updated throughout visits

Staffing and Support

• Techs available in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage
• Unit clerks available during days and nights

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Certifications required before submission: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC
• CPI certification required before your hire date
• Navy scrubs required
• Preferred experience: 2+ years at a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits); previous HCA experience
