PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Unit bed size of 18 with an average patient ratio of 1:5-6; critical patients are 1:2-3
• Patient types include Med Surg plus BiPAP and critical drips
• Drip experience required: Levophed, Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, and Dobutamine
• Insulin drip experience highly preferred
• Specialty equipment experience required: BiPAP, trachs, and Airvo
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 15+ months of IMCU, PCU, Stepdown, or Med Surg/Med Tele experience required
• New travelers welcomed with at least 24 months of experience
• Scrub color: Navy blue or black solid tops and bottoms only
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted), ACLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• NIHSS certificate preferred
• Iowa nursing license required
• Skills checklist specific to IMCU, PCU, Stepdown, or Med Surg/Med Tele discipline required
• 1 supervisory reference required at time of submission (completed within the last 24 months)
• Work history/resume required with all gaps over 30 days clearly explained
• Driver's license required with taxable address 50 miles from facility
