PCU Registered Nurse Job in Sioux City, IA

UnityPoint - St. Luke's Downtown is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 3x12 hour night shifts with an every-other-weekend and holiday schedule. This role offers a weekly pay of $2,388.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Manage patients with conditions including CHF, ablation, angiogram, TCAR, EVAR, DKA, stroke, pacemaker, and sepsis cases
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4, with the possibility of 1:5
• Float to all inpatient areas and the emergency department as needed
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Work 2 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements:

• Active Iowa nursing license or compact nursing license
• Minimum 1+ years of PCU experience
• ACLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted)
• BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates accepted)
• NIHSS certification
• PCU-specific skills checklist completion
• Mandatory reporter certification
• One supervisory reference form completed within the last two years
• Valid driver's license and location at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
