Physical Therapist Job in Santa Maria, CA

Dignity Health Home Health & Hospice in Santa Maria is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health assignment. You'll work 8-hour day shifts, primarily Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible scheduling and every third weekend coverage. Holiday coverage is required only as needed for major holidays.

In this role, you'll provide physical therapy services to patients in their homes within a designated geographical region. Your patient population will include those with orthopedic conditions, stroke recovery, joint issues, and spinal injuries. You'll use the Cerner EMR system for all charting and must have experience with OASIS documentation, which is government-mandated in home health settings.

Required qualifications:

• Current Physical Therapy license
• Minimum one year of physical therapy experience
• BLS Certification
• Experience with OASIS forms
• Home health setting experience preferred but not required

What to expect:

• Orientation period of 1.5 to 2 weeks
• Business attire with white lab coat required; no jeans
• Assignment to a specific geographical service area
• Patient caseload with varied diagnoses and treatment needs

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026. You'll earn $2,649.60 per week on a 5x8 day schedule.
