Physical Therapist Acute Care Job in Crescent City, CA

Sutter Health Coast Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for acute care and inpatient rehabilitation. You will work full-time in a hospital setting, assessing patients and developing individualized rehabilitation plans to improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and address disabling conditions.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 5x8 Days (variable weekdays and weekends per contract)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start: October 5, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,731

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient evaluations and develop Plans of Care based on diagnoses
• Provide and progress treatment according to established plans
• Document evaluations, tests, and charge capture to established standards
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and support staff
• Provide clinical supervision to physical therapy assistants and aides
• Serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Maintain Epic charting documentation and electronic health records
• Perform general clerical duties including phone coverage and appointment scheduling
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient Protected Health Information
• Ensure clean, safe working environment and inspect equipment per manufacturer guidelines

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy graduate program
• California Physical Therapist License
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience; 2 years preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Valid continuing education and professional certifications maintained throughout assignment

This is a full-time acute care position offering flexible shift assignments within the hospital setting. You will work directly with patients in various stages of recovery while collaborating with clinical teams.
