PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Care for general IMC patients with a wide variety of conditions including neurological, respiratory, cardiac, and gastrointestinal cases
• Manage patients requiring tri 3 drips and BiPAP therapy
• Practice independently, providing both routine and complex nursing care
• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty required
• EPIC experience highly preferred and recommended
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), NIH
• Active RN license in Texas or compact license required
