PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Contract end falls on Sunday
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float requirements include all inpatient units as needed, typically floating to higher acuity units
• Low census may occur in 4-hour increments; contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit with heavy telemetry monitoring
• Patient conditions include stable and weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
• Primary patients and insulin drips with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required; Stepdown/Intermediate/PCU experience required
• ICU experience preferred; Trauma Level II preferred
• Ventilator/trach experience required
• At least 1 prior travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: any color
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
