CT Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for overnight weekday shifts. This is a local position — you'll work Monday through Thursday, 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM EST, with on-call, callback, and holiday shifts as unit needs require.

Your responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans in strict adherence to department policy and procedure
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing
• Position patients accordingly, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records by documenting all necessary components within EPIC, identifying images, and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Minimum 6 months of Siemens scanner experience
• Active ARRT certification
• NYS licensure prior to start
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Patient and compassionate disposition
• Ability to work as a team player and maintain a cohesive working environment

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year of Epic experience
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment
• Injection certification or willingness to complete during orientation

Compensation and duration: $2,410 weekly for an 89-day assignment, starting November 16, 2026. This 10-hour shift position offers local candidates the stability of overnight weekday work at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
