Med/Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 34-bed Post-Op Med/Surg unit at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. This is a travel position with a 91-day contract starting November 2, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Two weekends (four shifts) required per 4-week schedule
• Weekly pay: $1,813.32

Unit Details

• 34-bed Post-Op Med/Surg unit with 6:1 patient ratio
• Tech support available on both day and night shifts
• Unit secretary available 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Documentation system: Meditech

Your Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
• Conduct bedside shift reports and include patients and family in plan of care
• Prioritize care and manage multiple patients
• Start IVs and perform basic wound care
• Maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes

Equipment and Technology

• IV pumps, telemetry, sequential compression devices (SCDs), continuous pulse oximetry
• Feeding pumps, patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), EKG machines
• Bladder scanner and iMobile communication technology

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)
• Contract labor floats with rotation when multiple contract staff are scheduled

You will work alongside a supportive team with dedicated tech and administrative support during your shifts. This role offers hands-on patient care in a structured Post-Op environment where your nursing skills directly impact patient recovery.
