PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

Opportunity:

RN - Critical Care Peds Float Pool

Job Details:

• Float pool position rotating between various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Peds Med/Surg, Peds PACU, Peds ED, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Day shift position working 36 or 48 hours per week
• 52-week contract with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
• Minimum of 2 years PICU experience required
• Must have PICU and NICU experience and be comfortable with all pediatric settings
• Peds PACU experience highly preferred
• Travel experience required
• Must have Epic experience
• BSN preferred
• Must adhere to float policy across units
• Patient ratios vary by unit: PICU 1:2, NICU 1:2 or 1:3, Acute Pediatrics 1:4-1:5, Peds ED variable
• May be required to float to Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby during staffing needs
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (can submit with certification pending)
• Virginia nursing license required (pending license accepted)
• Charge experience preferred
• Previous experience with skills including arterial line management, ventilator management, ECMO, hemodynamic monitoring, central line care, CRRT, and pediatric dosage calculations
• Maximum of 40 hours of pre-approved time off per contract; no time off approved during first 2 weeks of assignment
