Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will work as an RN on a 20-bed Neuro Med/Surg floor at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. This is a 91-day travel contract beginning October 12, 2026, with three 12-hour shifts per week on the day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).

Role Details

You will care for six patients per shift and provide attentive, compassionate care while partnering with patients and families in their plan of care. Tech support is available on both day and night shifts, and a unit secretary supports the floor from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Bedside shift reporting is part of your daily practice.

Responsibilities

• Document patient information using the Meditech system
• Start IVs, perform basic wound care, and maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Operate and monitor IV pumps, telemetry, sequential compression devices, continuous pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, patient-controlled analgesia, and EKG machines
• Use bladder scanners and iMobile communication technology
• Prioritize care and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Work two weekends (four shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Float by rotation when multiple contract staff are scheduled

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Med/Surg nursing experience
• Navy scrubs required (tops and bottoms)

Compensation

You will earn $1,786 per week. This travel position offers you the opportunity to build your experience in a neuro med/surg setting while working with a supportive team and modern clinical equipment.
