ICU RN Job in Chandler, AZ

Chandler Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 3x12 day shift position in the Intensive Care Unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning December 7, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,235.

Position Overview

You will work in a Level 1 Trauma Center ICU with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1. Day shifts run Saturday–Sunday for weekend rotations, with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. You will have 1 holiday off during your assignment and benefit from self-scheduling with manager support based on unit needs. No additional call or standby shifts are required.

Clinical Responsibilities

You will titrate critical drips including Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Precedex, Morphine, Dilaudid, Ketamine, Rocuronium, Levophed, Vasopressin, Cardene, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, and Insulin. You must interpret your own cardiac monitor strips using GE monitors; monitor technicians are not available on the unit. You will manage respiratory therapy equipment including Draeger, Hamilton, Puritan Bennett 840, V60s BiPap, and Airvo ventilators. Charge nurses are present and do not carry patient assignments. A hospitalist or intensivist and respiratory therapy staff are in-house 24/7 to support your care.

Requirements

You must have a minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience with either neuro or cardiovascular experience required—no exceptions. Level 1 Trauma Center or neuro experience is preferred. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. You will complete a UNA Dysrhythmia Exam within 24–48 hours prior to acceptance (maximum 2 attempts) and a pass/fail Simulation Lab on Day 1 of orientation. Plan for 1–2 days of unit-specific orientation. A valid Arizona nursing license is required; BSN is not required.

Additional Details

You may be floated to telemetry with ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 as needed, and are expected to float between all 3 ICUs. The unit may be low-censused up to 3 times during your contract. Charting is done in Cerner, and scrub color is navy.
