CT Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for weekend overnight shifts. This is a local-only position with a flexible duration and competitive pay.

Role Overview

You will perform CT imaging procedures in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment. Your responsibilities include confirming patient identity and exam verification, positioning patients safely, inserting IVs when necessary, and coordinating with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. You will prepare patients for scans, explain procedures to ensure comfort, and maintain accurate documentation in EPIC while ensuring images are sent to PACS correctly upon completion. You will also maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3 shifts per week: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday
• On-call responsibilities: 2–3 call shifts per month
• Holiday shifts required per unit needs
• Weekly pay: $2,904
• Duration: 89 days
• Start date: November 16, 2026

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• Minimum 6 months Siemens scanner experience
• NYS licensure required prior to start
• Injection therapy certification (required to be stated on NYS license at time of submission)
• Telemetry certification
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ARRT certification
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Local candidates only

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Epic experience
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment
• Willingness to complete injection certification during orientation if not already held

You will work as part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced imaging environment, using safe patient handling techniques and maintaining compliance with all department policies and procedures.
