OT - OT

Job Details:

• No on-call responsibilities
• No weekend shifts unless a holiday falls within Monday through Friday, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend
• Texas state license required
• Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience required
• New graduates accepted with Level II fieldwork experience (Level I observation experience alone is not sufficient)
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions per regulatory and clinical practice requirements
• Administer procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess and adjust patient treatment plans accordingly and document progress in electronic documentation system
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services as needed, making referrals based on outcomes
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans
• Complete comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Accurately record treatment minutes for all services provided
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
