Telemetry RN Job in Salisbury, NC

You will work as a Registered Nurse on the Telemetry unit at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center Rapid Response in Salisbury, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 19, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• Weekly pay: $2,043.79
• Every other weekend required, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per 6-week period
• On-call required; frequency depends on patient census
• No block scheduling; self-scheduling with leadership oversight

The Role

You will care for cardiac and stroke patients in a high-level telemetry unit. Patient ratios are 1:5–6, and you must be comfortable managing up to 6 patients. The unit sees approximately 78 to 90 patient turnovers per week. You will perform pre- and post-care for pacemaker implantation, implanted cardioverter/defibrillators, and cardiac catheterization. You will manage and titrate multiple cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone.

Typical patient diagnoses include unstable angina, low-risk chest pain, CHF, dysrhythmias, CVA, and TIA. You will work with telemetry, pulse ox, high-flow O2, non-rebreather mask, and BiPAP equipment.

Required Skills and Certifications

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• IV starts, telemetry interpretation, cardiac drip management and titration
• Heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation, central line care
• Arterial line management and blood product administration
• Epic charting experience preferred
• PCU experience preferred but not required

Facility Details

Unit systems include Pyxis, Dimensions (EPIC), and SBAR communication. Dress code: navy blue or white scrubs; Novant t-shirts allowed; jackets must match uniform color and material with no fleece; no crocs with holes. You will complete 36-hour orientation and must be available every day during week one for hospital orientation.
