Operating Room RN Job in Pasadena, TX

HCA Houston Southeast is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment in the Operating Room. You'll work a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, earning $1,955 weekly. This position offers the stability of a 10-bed OR with a 1:1 patient ratio and no floating required.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a multi-specialty operating room
• Support a variety of surgical procedures including open, laparoscopic, and robotic cases
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical technicians
• Participate in on-call coverage, including one weekend per month and rotating weekly on-call duties

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Proficiency in required surgical specialties: orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and gynecology

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
• Experience with ENT, vascular (non-cardiac), or pediatric procedures

What You'll See Here

The OR handles a broad case load. Typical procedures include general cases such as appendectomies and cholecystectomies, robotic and open orthopedic cases including total knees and hips, trauma orthopedics, gynecologic procedures such as laparoscopic and robotic hysterectomies and tubal ligations, and emergent interventions. You'll work with multi-specialty equipment and use the Meditech EMR system, which is converting to Expanse.
