Operating Room RN Job in Midland, TX

Midland Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Operating Room. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting October 19, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,727.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 5x8 hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• On-call requirements averaging 3–6 days per 28-day cycle
• Weekend coverage averaging every 4th or 5th weekend
• 36 hours of orientation provided

Role Responsibilities

You will work in a 13-room operating room environment with a daily census of 35–40 patients. You will perform and assist with a wide range of surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, neurological, trauma, and ENT cases. You will treat patients across all age groups—from infants and pediatrics through adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. You will work independently, follow universal protocol procedures, and maintain patient safety standards throughout each case.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Experience with general, orthopedic, neurological, trauma, and ENT procedures
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Ability to work comfortably with diverse surgical specialties and patient populations

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric operating room experience
• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Familiarity with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci Xi, Mako, and Mazor
