Operating Room RN Job in Lufkin, TX

Woodland Heights Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Operating Room. This is a day shift position working Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with hours varying based on surgical cases. You may start as early as 6:00 AM, and early starts and late ends rotate among the team.

Schedule & Call Requirements

• 5x8 day shift, Monday–Friday
• On-call requirement: 2 days per week as first or backup call
• One weekend per month on call (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• No floating between units
• No 48-hour shifts or block scheduling
• Time off requests require a substitute

Your Role

You will work as a circulator with the ability to scrub and provide first assist as needed. You'll coordinate patient care, safety, and workflow throughout the perioperative period in a modern facility with 8 regular operating rooms, 2 cysto rooms, 1 endo room, and 2 C-section rooms. You'll manage both sterile and non-sterile environments while supporting surgical specialties including General, Orthopedic, Robotic, Urological, OB/GYN, Podiatry, ENT, and Plastics.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of dedicated surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong circulator abilities with confidence across multiple surgical specialties
• Ability to manage sterile and non-sterile OR environments
