OR Registered Nurse Job in Abilene, TX

Hendrick Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 4x10 night shifts at $2,701 per week, starting November 2, 2026.

Schedule

• Friday through Sunday with no call required
• Two options available: 40 hours (Friday 5:00 PM–7:00 AM, Saturday 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, Sunday 7:00 PM–9:00 AM) or 3x12 weekend PM shifts with Monday 5:00 PM–9:00 PM
• 36 or 40 hours per week

Role Details

You will support surgical teams across Neuro/Spine, Ortho/Trauma, and General/Robotics/Trauma specialties. Patients range from adolescents to geriatrics. You will maintain a 1:1 patient ratio across all shifts and days. Craniotomy and burr hole experience are required.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• 2 years of experience in service line
• Craniotomy and burr hole skills (hard stop)
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge experience
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience
• Travel nursing experience
• ACLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, or TNCC certifications
• Altera/Allscripts charting experience
• Surgical skills: Laminectomy/Discectomy, Spinal Fusion, Lumbar Fusion, Cervical Fusions, Anterior Cervical Fusion, Total Joint Replacement, Arthroscopy, Open and Closed Reduction of Fractures, Laparoscopic Assisted Procedures, Cholecystectomy, Hernia Repair, Appendectomy, Colon Resection, Mastectomy, Kyphoplasty, and Da Vinci Xi Surgical System experience
