PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work on an inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care including medical surgical and step-down patients
• Unit operates with 20 beds on the 2nd floor
• Day and night shift staffing consists of 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs
• Patient ratios of 1:5 with a 1:6 stretch dependent on level of care
• Short stay patients with less than 24-hour length of stay are targeted to this unit
• Quick patient turnover expected
• Telemetry competency required with all patients hardwired to bedside monitors when telemetry monitoring is indicated
• Progressive care experience required
• Recent progressive care experience preferred
• EMR system: Cerner
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Scrub color requirements: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, all white
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed
