Operating Room RN Job in Michigan City, IN

Join Franciscan Health Michigan City as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 30, 2026, offering you the opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment with a dedicated team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the PACU/Recovery Room setting
• Monitor and support patients in a 10-bed unit with a 2:1 patient ratio
• Work Monday through Friday with rotating shift start times (6:30 AM, 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, or 10:00 AM) based on surgery schedule
• Guarantee of 36 hours per week
• Weekend call requirements: Monday through Friday 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and Saturday or Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, approximately 5 to 6 times per month

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 5+ years of nursing experience
• PACU experience required
• Experience with all patient ages, including pediatrics preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system

Unit Details

• No float requirements
• Equipment includes defibrillator, ultrasound for blocks, and Philips monitors
• No ventilator management in this unit
• Ceil blue scrubs provided

Compensation and Schedule

• Weekly pay: $2,482
• 5x8 day shift schedule
• 91-day assignment
