ED Registered Nurse Job in Clare, MI

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at MyMichigan Health – Clare. This is a 91-day travel assignment with three 12-hour night shifts per week, earning $2,200 weekly. Your start date is November 9, 2026.

Your Responsibilities

• Triage patients, obtain histories and vital signs, and assess patients upon arrival
• Initiate immediate care independently in life-threatening situations when physicians are unavailable
• Provide care for both acutely ill and non-acute patients using complex and simple nursing skills
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform nursing assessments promptly
• Provide physical and psychological comfort to patients, families, and visitors
• Deliver discharge and follow-up instructions to patients and families
• Answer ambulance radios and provide appropriate pre-hospital care orders independently
• Process physician and provider orders accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
• Evaluate treatment plan effectiveness and facilitate changes to improve patient outcomes
• Participate actively in updating and revising treatment plans with team members
• Work with sophisticated equipment in a frequently stressful environment

Requirements

• Active Michigan nursing license
• 2+ years of ER experience required
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: TNCC, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• NRP highly preferred
• Skills checklist current within one year for ER specialty
• Two supervisory references from the last two years
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Schedule

• 3x12 night shifts per week
• Two weekends per month required
• No on-call responsibilities
