Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 13 or 26 week contract options available
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required - may be floated to other units based on need and skill set
• Staffing ratio of 1:6 on nights
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Patient diagnoses include: Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Pneumonia, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
• Unit serves as the inpatient unit for stroke and TIA patients and higher acuity med-surg patients
• Procedures include peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, telemetry and remote monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, heparin and insulin administration, wound care/wound vac, PCA management, PICC line management, high flow nasal cannula, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Active Tennessee RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required
• No first-time travelers accepted
