PCU RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will work as an RN on a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) focused on Neuro Med/Surg patients at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Two weekends (4 shifts) required per 4-week schedule
• Weekly pay: $1,881

Clinical Responsibilities

You will care for patients with a 6:1 patient ratio. Med/Surg experience is required, with ability to prioritize care and multitask effectively. Your responsibilities include:

• Starting IVs and performing basic wound care
• Maintaining surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Conducting bedside shift reports
• Including patients and family members in plan of care
• Providing attentive and compassionate care

Unit Support and Resources

Tech support is available on both day and night shifts. A unit secretary is present from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The unit uses Meditech for documentation and is equipped with IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology.

Contract Guidelines

Contract labor is first to float with rotation when multiple contract staff are scheduled.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Med/Surg experience
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)
