ED RN Job in Susanville, CA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Banner Lassen Medical Center, located at 1800 Spring Ridge Dr, Susanville, CA. This is a travel nursing position offering three 12-hour night shifts per week for 89 days, beginning November 16, 2026. Weekly compensation is $1,900.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care and clinical leadership in a fast-paced emergency setting. Your responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal findings to physicians and care team members
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical directives
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other health care team members
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and promptly in the patient record
• Participate in unit and facility shared leadership initiatives and contribute to improvement of national nursing quality indicators
• Precept and mentor staff as appropriate, supporting professional growth and development

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in California
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience, with acute care experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions compliance due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
