Job Details:

• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts available
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Contract length options of 13 weeks or 26 weeks
• October start dates available
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required with obligation to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Self-scheduling model with manager guidance to accommodate preferred schedule when possible
• Must have Level 4 NICU experience
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Position is based in the children's hospital working across all units including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Must be competent in caring for neonatal, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient populations
• Must be competent in the use of both the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills required for multidisciplinary team environment
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic experience required
• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP, PALS (preferred)
• ACCS preferred
• Virginia state license required; pending license accepted provided temporary license can be obtained before start date with another active state license
• Must be proficient in a wide range of respiratory therapy skills including aerosol treatments, ventilator management, intubation assist, tracheostomy care, nitric oxide therapy, high-frequency ventilation, and arterial blood gas interpretation
