Med Surg RN Job in Santa Fe, NM

CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, NM is seeking an RN for Medical/Surgical Rehab. This is a full-time, 91-day travel position on day shift (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM), working 3 shifts of 12 hours per week at $2,328 weekly pay. Start date is September 14, 2026.

Schedule & Expectations

• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend requirement: 2 to 4 rotated shifts per month
• On-call requirement: 2 to 4 rotated shifts per month
• Blocked scheduling is not accommodated
• Floats to all Med/Surg departments as needed
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5–6

Credentials & Requirements

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• BLS Certification via AHA required
• Grey scrubs (dress code)

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and record initial patient assessments; establish priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Systematically reassess patients to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established timeframes
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and patient outcome evaluations
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
• Implement and document timely, appropriate interventions for patient needs
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
• Delegate unit work assignments appropriately to support patient care
• Coordinate team assignments and adjust based on patient and unit needs
• Participate in orientation of new staff and students

EMR system: EPIC. You will work in a full-time capacity supporting the Medical/Surgical Rehab unit and related Med/Surg departments within CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center.
