Med Surg RN Job in Santa Fe, NM

CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for Medical/Surgical nursing on the night shift. This is a full-time travel position offering competitive weekly pay of $2,319 for a 91-day assignment beginning September 14, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement of 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotated among staff
• On-call requirement of 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotated among staff
• Blocked scheduling is not accommodated
• Floating to all Med/Surg departments as needed

Clinical Environment

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Electronic medical record system: EPIC
• Dress code: Grey scrubs

Requirements

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS Certification via AHA
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex patient care with focus on long-range goals and treatment plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Assess patient learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations
• Practice independently while maintaining awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care situations
