Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Day shift position from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Full-time work schedule
• Weekend requirement of 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotated between staff
• On-call requirement of 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotated between staff
• Will float to all Med/Surg departments
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6
• EMR system used: EPIC
• Dress code: Grey scrubs
• Provide routine and complex nursing care, practicing independently in clinical setting
• Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• BLS Certification via AHA required
